Imagine you could travel back in time to a Beethoven or Mozart concert. You would notice that Wolfgang and Ludwig would mostly play their own compositions and improvise with the notes, with every concert being different.

That is exactly what happens in this concert. Cutting-edge musicians of the classical and improvisational scene take a fresh look at the classical piano concert. As a listener, you witness a musical battle between ensemble and piano, an exciting ritual dance between two partners. Classical and jazz musicians bring together the best of two worlds on stage. Just like Gershwin, Ravel and Debussy in their day, the composer himself plays the piano.

Rembrandt: ‘I want to take the audience with me in my “black-page-white-page approach”. The classical musicians on stage have an actual score in front of them, with black circles and lines on the paper. I, on the other hand, have a completely blank page and at every concert, I enter into a new dialogue with the orchestra, give musical commentary and deliver an inspiring counter-sound.’
